Oil on Board
This is a small, richly painted piece—inspired by my series of rural walks around Cawthorne, South Yorkshire.
“The bright, acid yellow of the lichen on the bare hawthorn trees inspired me to paint this.
The late-afternoon winter sun made it unnaturally intense against the clear blue sky, as the chilly wind whipped and rattled the branches along the path home.”
This artwork is currently unframed, but I’m happy to arrange framing for UK clients for an additional charge.
