Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many artists have found themselves without work, teaching, technical support and gallery work. Exhibitions and sales have disappeared, and the Artist Support Pledge, initiated by artist Matthew Burrows, is a fantastic way of supporting other artists and helping us all to make a living.
⠀The concept is a simple one. Artists post images of their work on Instagram which they are willing to sell for no more than £200 each (not including shipping). Anyone can buy the work. Every time an artist reaches £1000 of sales, they pledge to spend £200 on another artist/s work.
For every £1000 I make from sales of my work during the COVID-19 crisis, I will spend £200 on the work of other artists.
I’ll be adding work continually to this shop that I’ve posted under the #artistsupportpledge on my Instagram feed (@juliabrownart). Each artwork is tagged with the hashtag, and as an extra ‘Thank You’ you’ll get free UK delivery by using the coupon code ‘FREEDELIVERYUK‘ at the checkout.
I update this page regularly with current paintings that are available to buy directly from my studio in Yorkshire, UK. The best way to get first dibs on new work is by signing up to my mailing list.
If you spot a painting you love and it isn’t listed here, please do contact me so I can put you in touch with the gallery it’s showing at, or to check availability.
The paintings I sell through my web store are sold unframed (unless otherwise stated)—however, I’m more than happy to arrange framing for clients in the UK for a small additional charge. Just add a framing request to the contact form at the bottom of the page when buying your artwork and I’ll get back to you to discuss the next step. I’m afraid I cannot send framed paintings to overseas clients at this time.
