"Flicker is inspired by the comforting familiarity of a tree-lined route home after travelling back to Yorkshire. As a passenger, the warm afternoon sun and the drone of the car had made me sleepy. Exiting the motorway onto leafy country lanes, the journey nearly over, this light, like golden nectar, flickered through the gaps in the avenue of trees, and I basked in its glow.
This semi-abstract painting of sunlit trees on a heady summer day is dancing with subtle textures and layers of paint, featuring a whole range of leafy greens from fresh yellow through to deep mossy velvet of the shadows."
Framed in a contemporary black wood tray frame and ready to hang.
